Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Portugal, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Portugal showcased varied trends. Insights from Sensor Tower reveal interesting patterns in downloads and active users for the top five apps.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting the quarter with around 9.8K downloads and peaking at 10.8K in the week of December 23. Active users ranged from 726K to 820K, with noticeable peaks in late October and December.

Via Verde saw a steady increase in downloads, beginning at 3.2K and reaching 7.3K by the end of the quarter. Despite some fluctuations, active users grew from 66.8K to 91.7K, indicating a positive engagement trend.

For Google Earth, downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 3K weekly. Active user numbers initially declined but rebounded towards the end of the quarter, closing at approximately 41.8K.

Ganha LOGO showed significant variability in downloads. Starting at 905, downloads peaked at 3.7K in late November before declining sharply to 597 by the end of December.

Circuit Route Planner experienced a consistent rise in both downloads and active users. Downloads increased from 1.8K to over 3.2K, while active users grew from 2.5K to over 4K by mid-December.
